About Books 2 Prisoners:

Books 2 Prisoners Ottawa is a local, grassroots prisoner justice collective that has been organizing for more than a decade. We send various types of literature, from sci-fi novels to university textbooks, to jails and prisons upon the requests we receive from the prisoners who send us letters.

Alongside our task of collecting and sending books to those imprisoned, we also take time to reach out to and respond to letters from political prisoners and prisoners of war, as well as organize educational events and fundraisers.

We are always accepting book donations, so if you have books that you want to donate please see our Contact Us page and let us know! We are always happy to receive more books!
